How to Set and Adjust the Speed of Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) | Toyota

This Quick Reference Guide will provide a clear definition and step by step details on how to set and adjust the speed of Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

Once set, the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control system uses a camera and millimeter-wave radar to recognize a vehicle’s distance and speed in front of your vehicle. When necessary, the system will automatically make speed adjustments to maintain a safe following distance between you and the car in front of you. If there is no car in front of you, the system will maintain your set speed until you press the brake pedal or turn off the system.

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is designed to assist the driver and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving practices. System effectiveness is dependent on road, weather and traffic conditions. See Owner's Manual for additional limitations and details.

This NEW configuration, utilizing steering wheel buttons instead of a stand along stalk, allows customers to keep their hands on the wheel while setting and adjusting cruise control.
