The Knowledge Forum organized an engagement with the Alternate Energy Directorate and Sindh Solar Energy Project Lead to exchange notes on the Sindh Government’s renewable energy initiatives. The high-level engagement, held on October 18, 2024, in Karachi, had the participation of the Director of Alternate Energy, Energy Department of Sindh, Mr. Mehfooz A. Qazi, key officials of the Energy department, and local civil society.
The meeting sought to:
• Facilitate gaining comprehensive insights into the Directorate's current projects and plans
• Facilitate an open dialogue between government officials and civil society representatives on the renewables acceleration agenda
• Explore potential areas for collaboration and support
• Address concerns and queries from the civil society and media
