120th Anniversary of the Bureau of Internal Revenue

Recognizing more than a century of significant contributions and impactful service to the nation, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) celebrates its 120th Founding Anniversary at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City on August 1, 2024.

Bearing the theme, ‘Bagong BIR, Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas,’ this year’s celebration underscores the BIR’s century-long accomplishments that helped shape the country’s tax administration and collection system. With 120 years of existence, the Bureau continuously aims to create more programs geared towards providing Filipino taxpayers excellent and efficient service while ensuring the just and fair enforcement of tax laws, all contributing to nation building.

One of the highlights of today’s momentous event is the launching of BIR’s new logo that aims to reflect the Agency’s commitment to deliver inclusive taxpayer service through modernization and digitalization of core processes.

Also included in the anniversary celebration is the launching of BIR’s new website that marks a significant step under the Bureau’s Digital Transformation Program to provide taxpayers easy access to tax information and online services.
