How to carry forward the budget fund to a different bucket than "Obligation" ?

At the end of a fiscal year, when user runs the carry forward purchase order encumbrance balances, how to have a way to roll forward that budget into a different bucket ?

E.g. - If the carried forward purchase order is cancelled, the fund cannot be made available for others.

So it is needed to know to how to separate the carried forward budget from the new year's budget ?


Solution
There's no automatic way to carry forward the fund to a different bucket than "Obligation".

The budget amount carried forward is classified with a transaction type of 'Budget adjustment' and transaction action 'Carry forward budget for purchase order'.

Budget entered for new year's budget won't have the same classification.
User can look at the budgetary control analysis report to see all budget adjustments along with the transaction action.

Please note that the transaction action can be used to distinguish carry forward budget adjustments from other types of budget adjustments made throughout the year.
The carry forward budget adjustments is classified with the transaction action 'Carry forward budget for purchase order',whereas other types of budget adjustments will have a different action such as 'Adjust budget', 'Budget open interface multi-period', etc.

In cases where purchase orders carried forward are cancelled, a manual budget adjustment will need to be made to decrease the budget balance for the amount of funds available that was increased due the purchase order cancellation.
