Join Lang and Bev Kidby, an adventurous Australian couple, as they embark on an extraordinary 24,000 km journey from England to Australia in a 100-year-old Bean car, lacking modern comforts like a covered roof or air conditioning.

But why this trip?

Childhood heroes shape our dreams and inspire our journeys. Lang Kidby was captivated by the legendary Francis Birtles, the first man to drive a car from England to Australia in 1927. Birtles' indomitable spirit influenced Lang's father, Richard, who, along with his brother Lester, undertook a remarkable 3,000-kilometer bike journey in 1936, surviving on small prizes from bike races.

Inspired by Birtles, Lang and Bev decided to recreate his 1927 journey in the same vintage car, a 1923 Bean. This epic drive will take them through 16 countries and cover around 24,000 km, estimating 300 hours of driving over 60 days. Having embarked on April 1, 2024, they have already covered 10,000 km, reaching Delhi.
