First Pari, then Pihu and now another minor girl has gone missing. And nobody seems to have a clue…

Latest in the series is a three-year-old girl from Dadhipatna village under Ranpur block, who has gone missing. The minor girl was last seen playing near her house on Friday afternoon. Despite a frantic search by the parents, she was nowhere to be found. Then it was the police and the Odisha Fire Services personnel, but still there is no information about the minor girl.

This report comes just a day after a 2-year-old minor girl, Pihu, was reported to be missing for four months. Pihu was also playing near her house following which she went missing. Pihu’s parents have been trying their best to trace their daughter, but to no avail.

All these incidents bring back the gory details of Pari murder case to life. Five-year-old girl Pari had also gone missing in a similar fashion while playing in front her house at Jadupur village in July this year. Later, Pari’s skeletal remains were found from the backyard of her house.

Last month, Pari death triggered public outrage and widespread protests after her parents attempted suicide in front of the Odisha State Assembly. It has led to a major political stir after Pari’s parents accused Minister Arun Sahoo of shielding the prime suspect in the case.

With Pari’s parents alleging organ trafficking behind their daughter’s murder, this spate of incidents raises serious questions about the law and order situation and safety of minor girls in the State.
