Polaris Xplorer 400 Rear Chain Adjustment

Some info off google. , but i like my way still. (there was no need to colapse the rear on mine As the rear shock sucks)

by the book ,take a tie down strap and tie it between the rear axle and the rear bumper. Tighten it down so as to colapse the rear suspension so that the rear axle and the transmission output shaft are level with each other.then 1. Loosen the chainguard 2.loosen the eccentric bolts(2) 3. Insert a pin punchthrough the sprocket hub and into the eccentric axle housing. 4. Roll the 4wheeler ahead or back until the proper tension is achieved. (about 1/4 inch of slack)5 . tighten the eccentric bolts to 60ft.lbs 6. tighten the chain guard allowing 1/8 inch of clearence between it and the rear sprocket.
