Water Safety Plans – an introduction

Описание к видео Water Safety Plans – an introduction

The Water Safety Plan (WSP) is a risk management concept for drinking-water supply recommended by the World Health Organization since 2004. The preventative approach comprises all steps of a water supply from catchment to consumption, in order to ensure a safe supply with clean drinking-water, and thus sustainably protect the health of consumers. Generally, the WSP answers the question: ‚What can go wrong where, and how can I prevent that?’ The goal is to identify potential hazards and hazardous events in the entire water supply system before they occur, to assess the related risks, and to manage or prevent them through appropriate measures. The WSP is kept up to date and improved through regular revisions.
