Ustad Amir Khan doing riyaz in raga Bhairav

This is a rare recording of Ustad Amir Khansahib during his 'riyaz' session - possibly in the morning - where he is practicing prolonged 'swar's or notes in raga Bhairav. The recording is obviously an ameteur one and the noise from the road outside can be heard in the background. Despite the noise, it is still worth listening for learners and experts alike - to see the great Ustad's extraordinary vocal and breathing technique and how he hits each note with precision and perfection. In the later part he explains how he uses 'Aa' or 'Laa' of the word Allah or 'Om' during practice - instead of dhrupad-like 'nom' or 'naa' etc - in order to avoid any nasality creep into his voice-production. I got this recording from a secondary source and don't know who recorded it or whether he/she wanted it to be shared. But I must express my greatest thanks and gratitude to him or her for preserving this for posterity. The original recording is much longer, and I have shared only the part where it is most clearly audible.
