Phenomenal Average Speed Trick – GRE / GMAT Math

Описание к видео Phenomenal Average Speed Trick – GRE / GMAT Math

This video will tell you the secret to working out average speed on the GRE and GMAT.

Say I drove 20mph on way to work and 30mph on the same route back. What is my average speed? It’s not 25mph!

Part of the secret is to make up a distance! Pick a multiple of both speeds for easier calculation.
Next question: Philip walked at 4mph on his way to work but took a route that was twice as long on way back. If his overall average speed across both journeys was 8mph, what was his speed on the way back?

We will also use the distance speed time triangle again and again!
