Many of our clients are battling symptoms of POTS, EDS, MCAS, and CVI here in Austin.
The protocol we’ve developed to address, support, and sooth your symptoms has proven to be very effective, and I had to share our approach with you.
What we’re doing isn’t fancy, we just get you…
We’re always prepared to educate new clients about compression, fluids, sodium, movement, and lymphatic self-care but have found that most are well educated prior to arrival. The POSTS/EDS community is cool like that.
What clients are really looking for is someone who understands their body and condition(s).
Here’s what we do:
🫸 Myofascial release (slow, gentle, sustained pressure to the superficial fascia) offers powerful pain relief without compromising the joints. No tugging or pulling, no painful deep tissue required.
This creates space for blood and lymph to flow more freely, changes the environment for the mast cells, and increases proprioception for better postural alignment.
💧The rhythmic pumping of Manual Lymphatic Drainage communicates safety to the nervous system and supports neuroplasticity and better physiological responses
for POTS. It also increases body awareness, decreases inflammation, supports gut and immune health, encourages gut motility, and reduces your pain and fatigue levels.
You deserve more GOOD days in your body.
If you’re in Austin, @alignlymphaticsatx is here to help. If you’re not, I encourage you to seek bodyworkers that specialize in both myofascial release techniques and manual lymphatic drainage, and can offer it in the same cohesive session.
While craniosacral isn’t in our current wheelhouse, we add some craniosacral*ish* things into the session and this can be a helpful addition as well.
This is the sauce!
True myofascial release uses very little (if any) lotion or oil, and will usually appear on the therapist’s about page as “MFR” or “MFRT”
True (for you) lymphatic drainage qualifications will read as any of the following: Vodder, Leduc, Casley-Smith, Chikly, or Földi.
These are your people.
I know they’re out there.
Xoxo,
Leah
