Ramakkalmedu Wind Energy - Kattadi Padam

This beautiful location is close to nedumkandam in the Karunapuram panchayath. Ramakkalmedu is well known for its constantly blowing wind. No matter the season or time of year, Ramakkalmedu often receives gusts of up to 35 KMPH. Wind farms in Ramakkalmedu are situated atop the hills Kuruvikkanam and Pushpakandam. Although Ramakkalmedu has potential for it to become an international tourist destination, and already attracts more than 100,000 visitors. However, as of 2015 not much had been done for the improvement of basic facilities nearby.
