This is a cover version of the 1970 song "The Jeweler" from Tom Rapp's album, The Use of Ashes. The Use Of Ashes was the fourth album made by Pearls Before Swine.

This version of "The Jeweller" is from the album "Filigree & Shadow" which was released in 1986 by Ivo Watts-Russell's supergroup, This Mortal Coil. The supergroup consisted primarily of artists attached to the 4AD label, of which Ivo was the co-founder and (at the time) the owner and president.
