An intriguing but forgotten storyline of the 1994 NASCAR Winston Cup Season was of Chuck Bown, the 40-year-old from Oregon who had spent more than two decades climbing the development ladder. From the Winston West Series to the Busch North Series, and then the Busch Grand National Series, Bown won races and championships, and endeared himself to fans as Most Popular Driver many times over. But a full-time Cup ride eluded him – until an opportunity presented itself with Bobby Allison Motorsports. This is his story.
