ஒரு ஞானியிடம், "இறைவன் நாமத்தை எத்தனை தடவை சொல்ல வேண்டும்?" என்று கேட்டார் ஒருவர். அதற்கு அந்த ஞானி, "சொல்லிக் கொண்டே இருங்கள், நீங்கள் சொல்வதை மறக்கும் வரை" என்றார். இதுவே, வேதாத்திரி மகரிஷி சொல்லித்தந்த 'துரியதீதம்' என்ற தியானப் பயிற்சி போன்றது. இந்த தியான நிலையில், நம்மை நாமே மறந்து விடுவோம். நம்மை நாமே மறக்கும்போது, பிரபஞ்சம் போல் பரந்து விரிவடைவோம். இவ்வாறு, இறைவனுடன் ஒன்றாகி விடுவோம். இதுவே நாம் அடைய வேண்டிய இலக்கு!
