Musician Trevor McKenzie plays a tune on Scotty Wiseman's banjo from the W.L. Eury Appalachian Collection in Belk Library at Appalachian State University. Trevor works in the library's special collections helping to archive materials, like this banjo. Trevor is also a musician and a member of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area's Traditional Artist Directory. He can frequently be found performing and teaching along the Blue Ridge Music Trails.

The Blue Ridge Music Trails are nestled within the North Carolina mountains and foothills, a region known for its spectacular beauty, moderate climate, Cherokee heritage, handmade crafts, small family farms, and, of course, its rich musical traditions. The geographic footprint of the Blue Ridge Music Trails consists of twenty-nine counties in the western third of the state.
