While we do film a lot of quick Ford Barra powered street cars it’s not often we see one run stout numbers on pump unleaded fuel. Arthur’s Ford Falcon FG XR6 turbo recently ran a personal best time using a common upgrade path, the difference being it’s still on 98 RON unleaded.

Tuned by JDM Industries, the Barra puts out around 560hp to the wheels on 16psi courtesy of a Garrett GTX35/82 Gen II turbo. While the ZF 6-speed auto and diff are factory stock, a GJ Drivelines tailshaft is fitted. The current combo has been going for three years now and Arthur is hoping to push a little further yet.
