Haldi Ki Sabzi! We’ve all known turmeric as an important ingredient that makes it to almost all Indian savoury dishes! But did you know that it itself can be cooked into a delicious sabzi? Yes, it’s winters and turmeric roots are available in the market and so it’s the right time to learn this healthilicious ‘Haldi Ki Sabzi’!

Ingredients needed for Haldi Ki Sabzi -

1 cup turmeric roots
3 tbsp ghee
1 cup spring onions, chopped
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 cup spring onion greens
1/2 cup green peas, boiled

How to make Haldi Ki Sabzi-

1) Peel the turmeric roots and grate them using a regular grater.
2) In a kadai or a pan, heat some ghee.
3) As ghee melts, add chopped spring onions.
4) Now add chilli powder and stir it nicely.
5) Once onions loose some color, add grated haldi. Mix it well.
6) Cover it and cook it for 10-15 mins. Stir in between.
7) Take off the lid and add some salt.
8) Mix well. Then add spring onion greens and boiled green peas and mix.
9) Don’t cook much after you have added greens. Just mix and serve.
10) Have it with rotis or parathas.
