Secret Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle Cave In Princeville Kauai

Описание к видео Secret Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle Cave In Princeville Kauai

Fascinating experience seeing the Hawaiian Sea Turtle in a cave in Princeville, Kauai. The cave obviously isn't entirely secret, but it is not well known to tourist which is why I didn't include detailed information about how to find this cave although from the number of people there when I went, the information is available.

Also, here are a few things important to consider.

1. Use wildlife friendly lighting near the coast (yellow/amber/red and shielded lights). Don’t use flash photography, and keep lights and beach fires to a minimum from May to December, when turtles are nesting and hatchlings are emerging.
2. Also View sea turtles from a distance of 10 feet (3 meters) or more . Do not touch them as this is illegal

3. Don’t Harass them: Don’t chase them, swim at them or make loud noises around them
4. Report any nesting activity (turtle tracks or nest digging), and injured or dead turtles to NOAA’s Sea Turtle Stranding
Kaua‘i: (808) 274-3344

Harassing or disrupting a sea turtle or their nest can incur significant penalties, including fines of up to $100,000 and imprisonment of up to one year.
