06:26 Next day apply putty to fill empty spaces between the tile pieces using the putty knife
06:56 Spray the water and polish the mosaic tile surface removing the putty leftovers with the rag

- broken outdoor tiles

- dry cement mix
- glue for tiles
- putty for tiles
- putty knife or masonry trowel
- hammer
- chisel (optional)
- rags (for cleaning putty leftovers)

Broken tiles are cheap materials for crafting projects trash to treasure, like mosaic art.
For the first mosaic art DIY flower pot Kate took broken tiles had found at the beaches of Montenegro. The sea waves and the passing times smoothed the tile pieces as sea pebbles. After being in sea water the surface of tiles gained cracked vintage looking textures.
For the second mosaics project Kate mix ordinary outdoor tiles with broken tiles from the sea bottom to bring some Mediterranean style touch to the final look of DIY mosaic steps in the patio.
