THE STORY BEGINS
Long ago, there was a peaceful jungle filled with tall trees, colorful birds, and a gently flowing river.
On the bank of this river stood a large jamun tree, heavy with sweet purple fruits.
On this tree lived a smart and cheerful monkey.
He spent his days jumping from branch to branch, enjoying delicious fruits, and watching the river flow peacefully below.
In the same river lived a friendly crocodile with his wife.
The crocodile often came near the riverbank to rest and enjoy the calm environment.
FRIENDSHIP BLOOMS
One day, the crocodile noticed the monkey eating jamun fruits.
The monkey smiled and said,
“Hello friend! Would you like some sweet fruits?”
The crocodile happily accepted.
He had never tasted fruits so sweet before.
From that day onward, the monkey shared fruits with the crocodile every day.
Soon, a strong friendship grew between them.
They talked, laughed, and enjoyed each other’s company.
THE CROCODILE’S WIFE
When the crocodile went home and told his wife about the delicious fruits, she became curious.
After thinking for a while, she said,
“If the monkey eats such sweet fruits every day, his heart must be even sweeter.
I want to eat the monkey’s heart.”
The crocodile was shocked and confused.
He loved his friend and did not want to hurt him.
But his wife kept insisting.
THE DANGEROUS PLAN
After many arguments, the crocodile finally agreed to trick the monkey.
The next day, the crocodile invited the monkey to his home for dinner.
The innocent monkey trusted his friend and sat on the crocodile’s back to cross the river.
THE TRUTH REVEALED
Halfway through the river, the crocodile suddenly stopped.
With a heavy heart, he said,
“I’m sorry, my friend. My wife wants to eat your heart.”
The monkey was frightened, but he did not panic.
He quickly used his intelligence.
THE CLEVER TRICK
The monkey calmly said,
“Oh dear friend! Why didn’t you tell me earlier?
I left my heart on the jamun tree. Let’s go back and get it.”
The foolish crocodile believed him and turned back toward the riverbank.
SAFE AT LAST
As soon as they reached the tree, the monkey jumped quickly onto the branch.
From there, he said,
“Dear crocodile, a person’s heart is always inside the body.
You should never trust anyone blindly.”
The crocodile felt ashamed and swam away sadly.
MORAL OF THE STORY
This story teaches us an important lesson:
