Fiddle kickoffs and intros

In this fiddle lesson I look at the kickoffs and intros across a wide variety of genres including bluegrass, country, Cajun, barndance, Scottish ceilidh, jazz and pop. I look at the purpose of an intro and how it can be structured. I stress how important it is for a fiddler to be able to confidently lead into a tune in such a way that both audience and band are very clear as to what is happening.
