The Shanghai Inner Ring Expressway is the earliest urban express elevated road built in Shanghai. It has a total length of 47.7 kilometers. It started construction in 1993 and opened to traffic in 1994. Its Puxi part mainly builds elevated roads along "Zhongshan South Road → Zhongshan South 1st Road → Zhongshan South 2nd Road → Zhongshan West Road → Zhongshan North Road → Zhongshan North 1st Road → Zhongshan North 2nd Road → Huangxing Road → Ningguo Road", divided into two-way four-lane , the design speed is 80KM/hour. Part of the elevated road in Pudong was officially opened to traffic in 2009, and the Shanghai Inner Ring Elevated Expressway has only been fully opened to traffic in the true sense.

上海内环线快速路是上海市最早建设的城市快速高架道路，它全长47.7千米 ，于1993年开工建设 ，1994年部分路段建成通车 。它的浦西部分主要沿“中山南路→中山南一路→中山南二路→中山西路→中山北路→中山北一路→中山北二路→黄兴路→宁国路”修建高架道路 ，分为双向四车道 ，设计时速80KM/小时 。浦东部分的高架道路于2009年正式通车，至此上海内环高架快速路才实现真正意义的全线通车。
