A video tutorial on how to start a 2017 - 2020 Ford Fusion with a remote key fob that has a dead battery and is showing the message No Key Detected.

If your Ford Fusion remote key fob has a dead or bad key battery or is otherwise broken, the DIC will display NO KEY DETECTED when you attempt to start it.

To start a Ford Fusion with a dead or bad remote key fob:
1. Place the smart key remote fob in the backup slot located in the center console.
2. Start your Ford Bronco as your normally would.
