We know it’s been a very challenging past few months for everybody, and we are incredibly grateful that we’ve been able to continue our work to end ME/CFS admits the COVID-19 crisis whilst making any adaptions necessary.

This April we were pleased to announce that we have added a fourth ME/CFS Collaborative Research Center to join our End ME/CFS Project!

Directed by Dr. Alain Moreau, the ME/CFS Collaborative Research Center at Université of Montréal in Québec, Canada will serve to increase our international collaborative efforts.

They intend to develop better clinical tools allowing clinicians to diagnose ME/CFS and select the best treatments to address their medical needs. Ultimately, they hope to find a cure to end ME/CFS.

In other news, Team OMF also participated in this year's 3rd Annual ME/CFS Clinician Coalition Summit!

Dr. Bateman of the Bateman Horne Center partnered with US advocate Mary Dimmock to hold this summit virtually.

As in the past, clinicians from around the US come together to discuss how to best advance clinical practice and medical education of ME/CFS.

Sharing knowledge and practices across these medical communities is key to getting patients the clinical care they need.

This year's agenda also included a discussion on the implications of COVID for the field of ME/CFS."

Today, we also announced Breaking news from the European ME Coalition:

In a draft resolution adopted today, (April 30 2020) unanimously with 30 votes in favor, the Committee on Petitions of the European Parliament called for additional EU funding to advance research on diagnostic tests and treatment for ME/CFS.


The next step will be the plenary meeting of the European Parliament.
