Meet Hoop Dance Champion Josiah Enriquez at The Heard Museum

The Heard Museum hosted a free Maria & Modernism Exhibition Celebration event, featuring a special dance performance by Josiah Enriquez. I came across the announcement on The Heard Museum's Instagram account, I had a small window of time to come and record Josiah!

After messaging Josiah to confirm the timing of his performance, I arrived just in time to greet him, snap a quick photo, and watch him take the stage. The singer for his performance was Ryon Polequaptewa, who also served as the lead singer for the northern drum group at The World Hoop Dance Contest. It was a memorable moment, as Ryon sang the same song for Josiah at the competition.
