What is mold flow analysis?

An study of how the resin will/should flow through the mold is called a mold flow analysis.
This study is a simulation that will anticipate how the mold will function during and after a manufacturing run.

This step is essential for understanding what to expect from your mold, which includes:

a.Estimated shrinkage for mold sizing,
b.Expectations of a warpage,
c.Conditions of processing,
d.Shear tension caused by flow,
e.Location of the weld line,
f.Temperature of the coolant,
plus a lot more.

The goal of the investigation is to find out three things:

1. The mold's expected lifespan,
2. The mold's total price,
3. How to stay clear of issues.
