The Steyr M1912 was developed in 1911 by the notable Austrian firearms manufacturing firm Steyr Mannlicher. Offering reliability and durability this unique 1911 was used by the Austro-Hungarian and German armies during World War I and went on to see use in WWII. Combining a unique operating system and the 9x23mm Steyr caliber the M1912 was found to be a dependable sidearm during trench warfare. Today this firearm is respected as a piece of wartime history and serves to remind us of the expert machining and painstaking craftsmanship of its time.
