The experience of singing at this age can be more important that an adult's idea of practicing. Unlike an instrument, the voice is still maturing and the child is still feeling comfortable in their changing body.

Voice lessons for all ages is mostly about learning coordination and discovery. Music and singing is very much like athletics. It is about training muscle memory and that goes for pitch matching as well.
