Journeying Japan ~ Asakusa to Haneda

A Video of our train trip from Asakusa (浅草 "Shallow Grass") to Haneda (羽田 "Feather Field") Airport in Tokyo by means of the Keikyuu Kuukou Kyuukou (京急空港急行 "Capital Express Airport Express").

For the first part, the train operates underground, but starting from Shinagawa, the train runs on the railway viaduct, giving us one last good look of the Radiant Metropolis from above ground level.

There's a lot of (mostly residential) skyscrapers in the Shinagawa district, which give way to apartment blocks and smaller houses as we head south into the Oota (大田 "Big Field") district.

Eventually, the train branches off from the main line towards Haneda at the Keikyuu-Kamata (京急蒲田 "Capital Express Cattail Field") station, and looking south from there we see many skyscrapers again before the train dives back underground for the final approach to Haneda Airport just after the Anamori Inari (穴守稲荷 "Cave Protector Inari") station.
