Garth Cusick PGA Professional – PGA Centre for Learning and Performance Coach and Clubfitter

Garth has been a member of the PGA of Australia for over 20 years.
He is knowledgeable and experienced with a wide range of club components, and has custom fitted and built clubs for every standard of golfers. He understands the relationship between golf equipment and the effect on technique it has.

He has five years coaching golfers in Beijing, China and speaks fluent Mandarin.

Garth has been involved with developing many golf improvement programs.

He has a keen interest in golf technologies such as Trackman and Puttlab and how they can improve performance.

As a golf coach at the PGACLP, Garth offers a large variety of coaching programs and services.

Garth has vast experience in coaching golf, having completed a demanding three year traineeship having been assessed on both academic and playing standard.

Garth is available for golf lessons at Sandhurst from Tuesday to Saturday.

Garth is a member of the high quality team of PGA qualified coaches at the PGA Centre for Learning and Performance (PGACLP) which has the latest in golf performance technology.

Each indoor hitting bay feature clear high speed video cameras and also include the Trackman radar system, SAM Balance Lab and 3D motion analysis system.

The putting studio has the gold standard SAM Puttlab system and 4 high speed video cameras.

Technique analysis in both full swing and putting is enhanced by using this technology.

Only 75 metres from the facility is the outdoor practice area with a 270 metre long grass tee practice fairway, a short game area with bunkers and two large practice putting greens.

Garth and the PGACLP are located at the Sandhurst Club which is the Official Home of the PGA of Australia and PGA Q-School and the PGA Legends Tour are held on either of the courses annually.

The Club has previously hosted the Victorian PGA Championships and both courses are currently rated in Australia's top 100.

Sandhurst Club's two Championship courses are challenging but fair designs, maintained in great condition year round and are fine inclusions of the Melbourne Sandbelt courses.

The Champions Course has been designed as a tribute to the past champions of the Professional Golfers’ Association of Australia (PGA of Australia).

Each hole has a plaque near the tee as a tribute to the relevant skills and attributes of 18 past champions.

The course features sandbelt style fairway contours, open fronts to greens with bunkers and tree lined fairways.

The open styled North Course features large greens and requires strategic golf and competent short game skills.

The course is influenced by the traditions of Scotland where designer Peter Thomson won five British Opens.

The course includes a Wall around the 3rd green and a Burn reminiscent of St Andrews crossing the 9th fairway.
