আওয়ামীলীগ প্রতিষ্ঠার পটভূমি বা যেভাবে আওয়ামীলীগের জন্ম হলো।

বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশ #আওয়ামীলীগ হলেও প্রতিষ্ঠার সময় দলটির নাম ছিল 'পূর্ব পাকিস্তান আওয়ামী মুসলিম লীগ'।তৎকালীন মুসলিম #লীগ সরকারের দমন ও পীড়ন উপেক্ষা করে প্রাচীন ও ঐতিহ্যবাহী দলটির প্রতিষ্ঠার পেছনে রয়েছে সংগ্রামী ইতিহাস। #১৯৪৬ সালে অবিভক্ত বাংলার নির্বাচনে হোসেন শহীদ সোহরাওয়ার্দী জয়লাভ করে মূখ্যমন্ত্রী নিযুক্ত হন।#১৯৪৭ সালের এপ্রিল মাসে সোহরাওয়ার্দী ও আবুল হাশিম দ্বিজাতিতত্ত্বের বাইরে তৃতীয় রাষ্ট্র হিসেবে 'অখণ্ড স্বাধীন বাংলা রাষ্ট্র' গঠনের উদ্দোগ গ্রহণ করেন। কিন্তু তাদের এ মহৎ উদ্দোগ ব্যর্থ হয় এবং বাংলাকে ভাগ করে পূর্ববাংলাকে পাকিস্তানের সাথে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হয়।স্বাধীন পাকিস্তানে সোহরাওয়ার্দী সমর্থক মুসলিম লীগের নেতা কর্মীরা কোনঠাসা হয়ে পড়েন। ১৯৪৭ সালে পাকিস্তান সৃষ্টির পর খাজা নাজিমুদ্দিন গ্রুপের নেতৃবৃন্দ হাইকমান্ডের নির্দেশ অনুযায়ী সোহরাওয়ার্দীকে বাদ দিয়ে খাজা #নাজিমুদ্দিনকে সংসদীয় নেতা নির্বাচন করে পূর্ব বাংলার মূখ্যমন্ত্রী করা হয়। এক পর্যায়ে #সোহরাওয়ার্দীর গণপরিষদ বাতিল ও পূর্ববাংলা থেকে তাঁকে বহিষ্কার করা হয়। #মুসলিম লীগের জনবিরোধী কার্যকলাপে অতিষ্ঠ হয়ে ঢাকার ওয়ার্কাস ক্যাম্পের নেতৃবৃন্দ ১৯৪৯ সালের ২৩ জুন ঢাকার কে এম দাস লেনের রোজ গার্ডেন হল ঘরে এক কর্মী সম্মেলন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।সেখানে #মওলানা #ভাসানীকে সভাপতি ও শামসুল হককে সাধারণ সম্পাদক করে পূর্ব পাকিস্তান আওয়ামী মুসলিম লীগ নামে নতুন রাজনৈতিক দল গঠন করা হয়।

At present Bangladesh Awami #League, but the name of the party at the time of establishment was 'East Pakistan #Awami Muslim League'. There is a history of struggle behind the establishment of the ancient and traditional party, ignoring the repression and oppression of the then #Muslim League government. #Husain Shaheed Suhrawardy won the election of undivided Bengal in 1946 and was appointed as the Chief Minister. In April 1947, Suhrawardy and Abul Hashim took the initiative of forming 'Akhand Swadhin Bengal Rashtra' as a third state outside of binationalism. But their great initiative failed and #Bengal was partitioned and East Bengal was included with #Pakistan. In independent Pakistan, the leaders and workers of Muslim League supporting #Suhrawardy became helpless. After the creation of Pakistan in 1947, Khwaja Nazimuddin was elected as the Chief Minister of East Bengal by excluding Suhrawardy as the leader of Khwaja #Nazimuddin group. At one point, Suhrawardy's Constituent Assembly was canceled and he was expelled from East Bengal. Fed up with the anti-people activities of the Muslim League, the leaders of the Works Camp in Dhaka held a workers conference on June 23, 1949 at the Rose Garden Hall in KM Das Lane, Dhaka. There, #Maulana #Bhasani was made the president and Shamsul Haque the general secretary to form a new political party called the East Pakistan Awami Muslim League. is
