Описание к видео British Empire Exhibition of 1938 - digital reconstruction by Digital Design Studio

This visualisation shows the Empire Exhibition which took place in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow in 1938. The view starts at the base of the Tower of Empire (aka Tait's Tower) and moves down and along Scottish Avenue. All buildings (except the Palace of Art) were demolished at the end of the Exhibition; this digital model was created using architectural and photographic archives. Current research at the Digital Design Studio is working on an interface to sematically link 3D visualisations with the cultural archives on which they are based in order to understand the visualisation methodology more fully.
