Mrs Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson, Reliance Foundation addressed shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited. “My heart is full. This year marks a very special milestone for me personally, and for all of us at Reliance Foundation. It has been 15 years since we began this journey of care and compassion,” said Mrs Ambani.
Sharing the key progress through the year including:
• Reaching 87 million Indians till date across more than 91,500 villages, the remotest towns to the largest metros
• Working on strengthening rural India from water security to farm technology and empowering women
• Enhancing the learning experience 1100 Anganwadi Centres across the states of Telangana and Maharashtra in partnership with the state governments
• Developing a state-of-the-art 2,000 bed medical city in the heart of Mumbai
• Reaching 23 million young people through education and sports initiatives while supporting the dream to host the 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games in India.
• Providing a home for over 1.5 lakh abused, injured, orphaned and endangered animals at Vantara
• Developing and caring for a 130-acre Coastal Road Gardens as Mumbai’s own green, nurturing space
• By 2035, in the landmark year of our Silver Jubilee, Reliance Foundation is preparing to amplify our impact five-fold to reach 400 million Indians
