Sailed my 1996 Catalina 28 from my home dock to the Florida Keys reaching the farthest point of Boot Key on Marathon Florida (210 NM straight line distance from my home dock). 22 days at sea. 17 days on anchor and 5 on a dock. Total distance traveled 550 Nautical Miles. 135 hours total underway with 68 hours running the engine ( 42 hours of engine use on the North-South offshore runs). Always the smallest boat in the anchorage but the perfect boat for me to make this mostly solo journey. Gerry Douglas designed a incredibly capable sailboat in the Catalina 28. My boat ran perfect the entire trip with almost no issues.
