You don't always need to add a block first to add certain content. Some most general content types can be created in Gutenberg without adding blocks first. In this video, I will share a few tricks you can use to improve your writing flow in WordPress Gutenberg editor. This includes:

Using Markdown in WordPress Gutenberg Editor.
Add images directly by drag n drop in Gutenberg.
Create image galleries by dragging multiple images in the Gutenberg Editor.
Embed directly by pasting the URL in an empty paragraph block.
