We are witnessing a turning point in the Palestine solidarity movement since the interception of the Sumud flotilla.

Friday, we saw a general strike for Gaza in Italy. Nearly 2 million people demonstrated in all major cities in solidarity with Gaza.

Above all, there has been a shift in consciousness: people are saying, “The government should impose a complete embargo on Israel, but it isn’t doing so, so we’ll do it ourselves”. The movement is beginning to turn toward mass direct action by the working class. This is exactly what the movement needs, and we must continue to push in this direction.

1. Extend the student strike. Divestment now. Let this be the spark for a broader movement.
2. We need a worker’s boycott. The main unions here must immediately declare a Hot Cargo edict, that they will stop handling any goods destined for the Zionist war machine.
3. No trust in the Liberals. Only the working class can end the genocide.
4. Overthrow the warmongers. Our government is complicit in genocide.
