Hoya lauterbachii | 30 Days of Hoya - 21 of 30

Hello and welcome to another episode of #30DaysofHoya. Now, I know it says Eriostemma. This plant was considered Hoya before and it is still sold as Hoya. It is closely related to Hoyas and is often said that Eriostemmas are a special group of Hoyas. As far as I read, it should be a separate genus, but I still didn't find any confirmation that this has been in fact accepted as a separate genus. Because of all these things, I decided to include it in the series. It is still a nice looking plant and it was either this or my messed up H.imperialis! So if you ask me, this is an excellent trade-off. It doesn't hurt to learn more about these plants and who knows - maybe this will prevent you from buying Hoya/ Eriostemma lauterbachii (or it can even make you want one if you're up for a challenge).
