At DLF Mall of India in Noida, former pilot Ehsan Khalid gave an in-depth demonstration of how a complete fault scenario unfolds inside an Airbus A320 flight simulator, explaining how modern aircraft handle glitches and how pilots respond in real time.

Khalid walked viewers through the cockpit layout, including the overhead panel, flight control systems, throttle quadrant, flaps, spoilers and the ELAC computers that control the aircraft’s rolling and pitching movements.

He explained the 2024 software glitch in ELAC 2 and showed how uncommanded aircraft movement can be dangerous — and how built-in redundancy helps pilots regain control.

Khalid also demonstrated takeoff, mid-air upset recovery, autopilot operation and a full auto-landing, underscoring that despite occasional glitches, commercial aircraft are highly safe and heavily monitored by multiple computer systems.
