The “Language and Substance Use Disorder” Training is an educational presentation that has been developed by the Beyond Influence Behavioral Health Work Group and the Nashua Division of Public Health and Community Services. The aim of this training is to help residents understand substance use disorder and how the use of appropriate language can change the conversation around substance use disorder to reflect the fact that it is a medical condition. We encourage organizations in the Greater Nashua Public Health Region and throughout New Hampshire to share this information and tool through trainings and community events presented by and for their own organizations.
