Описание к видео Case Study: Mapping Dutch Art in the United States

This hour-long webinar features the team behind the project “Mapping Dutch Art in the United States,” (https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/...) including Elizabeth Mathews-Kern, Lead Project Developer; Christopher Atkins, Van Otterloo-Weatherbie Director of the Center for Netherlandish Art at the MFA Boston; and Alyssa Trejo, former Coordinator at the Center for Netherlandish Art. Made in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in New York, the digital map helps users identify and locate museums in the United States that collect and display 17th-century Dutch art. During the webinar, the team discusses how the project came together, the construction of the ArcGIS StoryMap, and the challenges and successes that arose while working with internal and external partners.

Christopher D.M. Atkins (he/him) is the inaugural Van Otterloo-Weatherbie Director of the Center for Netherlandish Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Prior to joining the MFA in 2019, Atkins was associate curator of European painting and manager of curatorial digital initiatives at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. His extensive teaching experience includes both faculty positions and visiting professorships at Boston University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Delaware, The City University of New York, and Northwestern University.

Elizabeth Mathews-Kern (she/her) is an archivist and museum professional located in Southern Maryland. She specializes in digital exhibitions, digital archives, and public humanities project management and design. She currently works as the Archivist of the St. Mary’s County Historical Society, and has previously served as Lead Project Developer on the MFA/ Boston’s “Mapping Dutch Culture in the United States” digital exhibition.

Alyssa Trejo (she/her) is a program coordinator and museum professional based in Boston, Massachusetts. Her background is in art history, museum education, and public humanities. She currently works as the JET Program Coordinator at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and previously was the Coordinator for the Center for Netherlandish Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
