We'll go over the basics of a Motorola P25 radio, the XTS-3000. I'll discuss P25 Phase I and Phase II, and how those digital protocols are cousins of DMR and NXDN.

There are thousands of used Motorola, Johnson, Harris, etc. P25 radios on the market. I have a long history in public safety, and was thrilled to find out that P25 P1 is used in amateur radio.
