Overseeding With Pure Kikuyu Seed | Lawn Transformation Project

While we’ve had nice lawns in the past at previous properties, to get to that point we’ve always started from scratch. Most times starting with “fresh” rollout lawn which with a little TLC, is relatively easy to manage with frequent fertilising and herbicide/insecticide treatments as required.

We thought we’d take a different approach with Glenn’s lawn this time, which is currently made up of kikuyu, fine fescue, and a whole range of weeds.

In this fifth episode, we bring in 3m3 of screened topsoil which we use to fill in the holes created through the aeration process, with the remainder used to level out any undulations in the lawn before we overseed with kikuyu seed.
