French Defense: Exchange Variation - Attack with Black!

Описание к видео French Defense: Exchange Variation - Attack with Black!

French Defence: Exchange variation, for Black, and those who want to fight for a win in this mainly drawish, boring line. If you want to learn how to play agressive chess in the Exchange French, look no more! Here you'll find the best tips and guidelines, ideas and plans for Black, ideal for you trying to get something out of typically boring opening line.

The line itself can be played in a various ways, and White is not exclusively going for a draw. In this video we are dealing exclusively with those lines of white that are seeking to destroy the game in order to squeeze a draw. That being said, I am NOT discussing the more ambitious ways White can play - 4. c4, for example.

Along with other negative attributes associated with the variation, it is also a crime against chess principles: on the third move (3. exd5) White is helping Black to get more active pieces, while at the same time they are ruining own chance of gaining space advantage and better center control.

Content of the video is also a game played by Michael Tal and Victor Korchnoi, Voroshilovgrad 1955. Mikhail Tal said that it was the only time in his life he played for a draw!

Video is consisted of the following chapters:
0:00 Intro to the Exchange French
0:58 Create the imbalances

2:22 How to develop the queen?
3:00 Game example: Tal vs Korchnoi
