Ancient Kings is a feel-good summertime road trip song, with a powerful message for those who listen twice. It’s got great hooks, is accessible on many levels, sung by a great singer songwriter…. and before you know you’ll be hearing the call of home too this summer.

An Indigenous artist, Brady, is constantly traversing the line between family and fortune, while keeping simultaneous fires burning by respecting ancient culture and staying strong in the present day.

A Western Gugu Yelanji and Birri Gubba man, Troy found his musical roots in the great political pub bands of the 80s like Midnight Oil and Hunters and Collectors; Ancient Kings is a musical reflection of this history.

Reminiscent of classic driving songs of his youth that are ingrained in the Australian psyche, Ancient Kings also has underlying tones of great soul vocals coming from a life of reggae, funk, rock and RnB. All the while still referencing his rich cultural heritage.
