I've taken a couple trips now to Portland to catch bands I missed at Psycho Las Vegas (there were SO MANY BANDS!). One of them was Mars Red Sky. Wow. I was not a MRS listener, beyond just a casual here or there, but let me tell you, the love show was amazing. Beautiful, visceral, and pounding heavy. Definitely a must-see. Waiting for a YouTube copyright thingy to be lifted so I can upload the rest of the set (seriously, #WTFU). These guys take their stoner-fuzz seriously, with a classical intensity and beautiful progressive (in the 70's musical sense) invention. Mars Red Sky are simply among the very best songwriters of our time.

"Shot in Providence" (lyrics below) is off the band's 2016 EP, "Providence" and was filmed on Friday, September 2nd, 2016 at Panic Room (now The Raven) in Portland, Oregon.
