Painting a 1/6 Captain Kirk - Entire process - Part 1

EDIT: When I did these Captain Kirk videos a few years ago, I had a lot of people asking me to do videos with voice overs. Well I now have a Patreon account and on there I do full length real time tutorials, similar to these videos.. but without the music and I'm talking WHILE I'm painting, and explaining everything I'm doing and why. They're becoming really popular so they should be around for some time. I choose each subject based on stuff that should hopefully be interesting or useful to people. People have been sending me messages for a while asking to see how I paint my 1/6 scale head commissions. I've already done a couple of short videos, but this time I wanted to show the whole thing from start to finish!!

I filmed myself painting a master sample of this new sculpt of Chris Pine as Captain Kirk (for a limited run of custom figures coming soon). I recorded the whole thing and edited it down (from a week of painting!) to about an hour and a half. Obviously lots was cut out, but I do show every stage of my painting. If not every repeated layer.

I've split this into ten minute sections to make it easier for people to watch. I'll try to post a new vid every few days or something.
