GERMANIC LINGUISTICS #16 - WEST GERMANIC: THE ORIGINS

There was a branch of Germanic I decided to leave at the end, just because I'm lazy and it's the hardest one to explain and analyze. That time has come anyway. We don't have an attested language as a starting point for West Germanic... we're not even 100% sure such a language has ever existed.
