TRIP REPORT | I Finally Tried First Class! | Miami to New York | DELTA Boeing 737NG

Delta Trip Report flying from Miami to New York JFK onboard one of the Delta Boeing 737-800S, flying in First Class, on a nice autumn morning on the US east coast.

An amazing flight from Miami to New York JFK onboard one of Delta's Boeing 737 in First Class. Wow! This was my first flight in First Class on any US airline and I must say I was really happy to accept the upgrade offer I got a few days before the flight.

We departed from runway 12 in Miami, which means we departed towards the Atlantic. The views of Miami downtown and Miami Beach just after takeoff were just amazing! Really breathtaking! I had other flights from Miami but none as this departure. I think you'll like it a lot!

Once over the Atlantic, we flew in parallel to the US east coast until we reached Jacksonville (North Carolina). From there we turned right towards Atlantic City. From there we set direct course to New York JFK airport, where we landed ahead of schedule after a beautiful approach.

About the onboard service, I must say I was really surprised by Delta. The catering was really good! After reading and watching other trip reports I was expecting almost nothing... and, for sure, it wasn't the case. There were 3 meal options: Impossible BBQ Burger, Chilled Spiced Chicken Breast, and Poached Shrimp. I went initially for the chicken option. It was delicious but it was a cold meal. After finishing, and knowing I had a 7h layover at JFK until my next flight, I asked if I could try the burger. They said, "of course, you can". It was delicious! The meal came with a fresh salad and a cookie as dessert. Unlimited drinks are available.

All in all, a truly fantastic experience that, for sure, I'll be looking forward to repeating when the proper upgrade offer arrives. Really worth for a good price!
