It is springtime and edible flowers are blooming in force - wild violets, dandelions and forsythia. Our Harvest Right Freeze Dryer does an amazing job of capturing the color and the nutritional value of these beauties. In the past we would dehydrate the flowers which made them shrivel up into little specks of color and the heat definitely impacted the nutrient levels. Make sure you put the silicone sheets on top to keep the flowers on the tray once they are dried. These flowers are wonderful additions to looseleaf tea blends. Forever Foods Farm. March 15, 2023.
